Mom took me to Vala's pumpkin patch for the first time on her day off. It was really fun! My favorite thing was the goats...although I have to admit I was a little scared at first. I couldn't believe how many pumpkins they had there. They were everywhere! Can't wait to go back again!

I'm 9 months old!

Well...these last 9 months have really flown by and boy am I making some major changes. I am crawling and cruising furniture like a pro. I can even stand for a few seconds by myself. Mom & Dad think I will be walking soon. My dad walked at 10 months old so maybe I'll beat his record. We will see. I'm really adventurous and don't mind falling down so that helps with the practice. I am eating all kinds of interesting foods now and I'm growing like a weed. Went to see Dr. Andreson yesterday. I was 28.5 inches long (81%), 19lb 9.5oz (64%), and my head measured in the 89th percentile. Hopefully a big head means big brains! I'm still waiting for my top teeth to come in. That's definately not any fun. I've been kind of fussy lately so hopefully that means they are coming soon. Well, I think that is about it for this entry. Until next time....

On the Move!!

Hey everybody! It has been a little while since I've had the chance to blog. Sorry! It's been kind of a crazy summer. My mom finally passed her nurse practitioner exam and has a new job lined up. I'm looking forward to that cuz now she will have better hours and won't have to work on weekends or holidays. That works out pretty good for me! I'm crawling all over the place and trying to walk now too. Don't really have the walking thing down quite yet...need to work on my balance a little bit more. Oh well, I can move pretty fast just crawling. For some reason my dog Henry doesn't think that is very cool. Fortunately for him, he is still faster than me. I'm eating more grown up foods and can even feed myself (depending on what it is). I'm even using the sippy cup more than the bottle now. Mom and Dad say that I'm growing so fast. I'm not sure they like that part but they sure seem to enjoy watching me do stuff. I can always make them laugh even when they are having a rough day. Pretty good, huh? Well, that's all for now. In a few weeks I go back to the doctor for my 9 month appointment so I will fill you in then with my lastest stats. Until then...

Trip to Minnesota

Here are some pictures from me and mom's trip to Minnesota for my cousin Jameson's wedding. It was in Detroit Lakes which was a pretty long trip...about 7 1/2 hours total from Omaha. Good thing we stopped half-way in Sioux Falls at G&G Meeker's house. I didn't give anybody to much of a problem in the car...slept most of the time but you know sometimes you just need to get out to stretch plus those car seats can make you pretty sweaty! I had a great time once we got there. Finally got to meet my great grandparents Virgil and Jean and lots of my other family members. Boy, were they excited to see me! I think my aunt Sandra kissed me like 500 times. Her future grandkids better watch out. Oh well...it feels nice to be loved by so many people. Hopefully, I will get to see them again soon.

I'm 6 months old

Well, I'm 6 months old already. Can you believe it? Went to see Dr. Andreson today for my check-up. Here are my latest stats. Weight 16 lbs, 10 oz (64%) Height 26 in
(59%) and head circumference 44 in (88%) I also got two shots. Mom couldn't believe that I barely even cried. Why would I? I'm a big girl now. I sit up by myself now, eat real food (well...kind of, if you call baby food "real" food), and I've started to get my first tooth in. That's not very fun but I guess we all have to go through it. Mom got me some cool teething toys so that makes it better. I can't wait for the summer as you can probably tell from my pictures. I love to swing and so far I like being in the water. There is a rumor going around daycare that there are big pools that your mommy & daddy can take you to when it is hot outside. I hope it's true. Sounds like alot of fun! Mom's Graduation

Here we are at mom's graduation. I'm not going to lie, it was kind of boring (see Uncle Kelly's picture) but I was pretty well behaved. She is going to be a geriatric nurse practitioner. I guess that is just a big fancy name for someone who takes care of old people. If that's true I think my Grandpa Meeker needs one of those. =)
